Monaco in the Rain | Joe Siffert – Lotus 49

Some subjects are simply timeless.

This 11” × 14” watercolor captures Swiss Formula One driver Jo Siffert at the wheel of the legendary Lotus 49, navigating the narrow streets of Monaco—one of the most iconic circuits in all of motorsport.

I’ve been fortunate to visit Monaco a couple of times over the years, and standing beside those famous streets, it’s impossible not to imagine the roar of the Cosworth-powered cars echoing between the buildings. The history, elegance, and danger of this circuit make it unlike any other in the world.

Painting comes mounted in Double Mat protected by poly sleeve and ready to frame.
